Phil 4:8-9 (KJV) 8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. 9) Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
In our text, our Lord graciously reminds us of the need to control our thought life. When we keep our minds on the things of God, we will find that the peace we experience will increase as we draw closer to Him. Let’s make a renewed effort to keep the things of God on our hearts and minds today.
To help remind us of the importance of thinking on Him daily, I’m beginning this new “Think On These Things” series of daily blog postings. Please be in prayer for this new ministry as well as the other “Settled In Heaven” ministries.
May the Lord bless each one of us as we “Think On These Things”.

Reading this I thought of Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your MIND"
ReplyDeleteI find it important to start the day with a Word from Him and to meditate on it throughout the day. When we keep Him and His Word in our thinking, our FIRST thought in any situation will be to seek and follow His way.
Angels,
ReplyDeleteI agree the importance of a morning "devotion" time cannot be understated... It put the Lord in our minds and hearts and, hopefully, we will keep our minsds on HIm throughout the rest of the day. Thanks for your input...
Lord bless you. Rob
