(Psa 23:5a) Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Here, the Psalmist is saying that he was able to partake of a spiritual banquet from his God even when his enemies were present in the same room! So too, we can be assured that no one can stop the Lord’s blessings that He chooses to send our way.
How marvelous it is to know that our Lord can bless us and NO ONE can stop His will from being done … not even Satan himself.
May the Lord bless each one of us as we “Think On These Things”.

It is "in the presence of my enemies" that we are more aware of the Lord's power at work and of His enabling.
ReplyDeleteIt is "in the presence of my enemies" that we feel inadequate (and we are) and turn to the One who is totally adequate, and He prepares for us a table of His resources and tells us to take and use them . . . and He enables us to be overcomers.
the everlasting arms. The Lord's people feast at his table, upon the provisions of his love. Satan and wicked men are not able to destroy their comforts, while they are anointed with the Holy Spirit, and drink of the cup of salvation which is ever full. - Matthew Henry
