SIH’s Think On These Things: Matt 6:13f

(Mat 6:13)  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Our Lord is ETERNALLY the King of Kings, the All-powerful Lord over all, who deserves all of our praise and devotion.  He always has been, and always will be, the unmatched God of all creation.

His person, His work, and His Word will never change.

Rejoice in Him knowing that we serve an unchanging Lord, who will always work for His glory (and our good) by being faithful to the promises of His Word.

May the Lord bless each one of us as we “Think On These Things”.

  1. Unchanging. To me that means security. I know the God who has led me, provided for me, enabled me, sustained me, 'grown' me, challenged me, encouraged me, loved me - and so much more - will continue to do so, and that He will fulfill His promise to bring me faultless before the throne.

    What an amazing God!

  4. Absolutely... Knowing He doesnt chnage is the basis for our security in Him. What would it be like if we knew that He could change His mind about our salvation. Or if He changed His moethod of salvation, or if He changed what eternity will be like with Him?!

How thankful I am He NEVER changes!

  5. Hey Rob! I don't know what got into me (yes, I do) while I was reading your post. I'm definitely NOT a poet or anything close. I have written one other little "ditty" when God delivered me from smoking, but I didn't keep it. This is what came to my heart and my mind as I read your post:
I love the Lord, and He loves me.
That's why I try to stay on bended knew
Down on my knees I spend time to pray,
Carrying on a conversation with Him every day.

He is All powerful, all seeing and all knowing,
that is why He knows where I'm going.

Jesus died for me as He hung on that cross,
and I can't help but feel sometimes oh, what a loss.

I'm definitely not deserving of His love or His might,
But against Satan, He will help me win the fight.

I love my Lord and He loves me, that's why I'll stay on bended knee!

I was so excited when I read it, I even read it to my hubby, and he thought I copied it from a book or something. LOL! God did this, as a reaction to your post. I truly believe it. I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you. I was just so flabbergasted, because I don't even rhyme well!
    God Bless,
    PJ

  10. He remains faithful to His promises to bless those who are faithful servants. Some of those blessings do come upon us here on earth, others are reserved for us in heaven someday. Thanks for another great comment.
